Turning Bottles and Cans Into Hygiene Kits

We wanted to share a little update on how your BottleDrop donations are making a difference at Octavia’s Options.

Recently, we used funds from our BottleDrop Give account to purchase a bulk order of premade hygiene kits. Each kit comes with a toothbrush, toothpaste, hair comb, bar of soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

These are simple, everyday items, but having them available when someone needs them can mean a lot. Being able to brush your teeth, wash your hair, or have your own basic hygiene supplies can bring a little comfort and dignity during a difficult time.

Buying the kits in bulk also means we can have them ready to go instead of gathering individual items each time they are needed.

One of the things we love about the BottleDrop Give program is seeing how something as simple as returning bottles and cans can turn into real, useful support for people in our community. Every bag donated adds up, and this order of hygiene kits is a great example of where those donations can go.
