April Update: Building Our Foundation at Octavia’s Options

Octavia’s Options has been growing behind the scenes, and we’re excited to share a recent update.
We have officially transitioned to a new donation platform, Givebutter. This change allows us to create a more secure and streamlined giving experience while also improving how we track and report community support. For a small, grassroots organization, these systems matter. They help us demonstrate transparency, strengthen future funding opportunities, and show that there is real local investment in this work.
As a group of unpaid volunteers, every step forward is intentional. This update is not just about technology. It is about building the infrastructure needed to expand access to low barrier, community-based resources over time.
Right now, we are working toward our first milestone of raising $5,000 in community support. Reaching this goal will help us show early traction, strengthen future grant applications, and continue developing programs rooted in dignity, accessibility, and real community need.
Support does not always have to be financial. Engaging with our website, sharing our work, and helping spread the word all contribute to building something that lasts. Early support in any form plays a direct role in shaping what this can become.
